What are the opportunities to address issues in health care? How do citizens gather to contribute to open data provided by President Obama's administration and innovation?
Health 2.0's San Francisco Code-a-thon: HealthE Habits, is a coding competition designed around building new applications and tools that motivate people to adopt healthy behaviors that will stick. Join fellow developers, designers, health care professionals, biz dev and entrepreneurs for 2 days of rapid prototyping and creative health-hacking. Participants will get data, direction, diverse collaborators, darn good food and prizes, and potentially, da beginning of a product or even the next big venture.
We will kickoff the weekend with a quick intro to opportunities for wellness and disease prevention, tech talks from our sponsors, API presentations, and specific challenges you can address during the code-a-thon.
Day 1 - Participants will have a chance to pitch their own ideas to the rest of the group, team up and start building applications.
Day 2 - Teams will present their creations to the other teams as well as our panel of expert judges who will award prizes to the best of the best At the end of the competition, you take home what you've built.
